Cornhole Open and Service Project
Saturday, March 13, 1:00 p.m. at CRC on The Green. Cornhole, also known as Bean Bag Toss, is a fun and fast-paced game of skill. The more seasoned men of CRC have challenged the younger crowd to a friendly game of Cornhole —and may the best team win! Just remember age is relative —you may feel young at heart or wise beyond your years and can pick your side accordingly! We'll also be working on a service project for the church, enjoying a delicious barbecue lunch, and generally having a good time. Guys, bring your friends! Sign up Sunday, Mar. 7, in The Lobby. For info contact David Cox at brodavefla@comcast.net.
Family Promise
CRC will be hosting Family Promise families Mar. 21 –28. There are many opportunities to serve while they stay with us. Help by supplying snacks, preparing or serving meals, being an overnight host, or helping with setup and breakdown. Sign up Sunday in The Lobby. For info contact Mark or Diane Landschoot at dilandschoot@comcast.net.
Leadership Summit Luncheon
Wednesday, Mar. 17, 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m., The Connection Center. During this satellite webcast with Willow Creek, we will hear from Gary Hamel, one of the world’s leading experts on business strategy and 2009 Summit Speaker. Bill Hybels will announce the speakers for the 2010 Summit, which CRC is hosting on August 5 –6. Bring friends with you to this luncheon; it’s a great way to introduce them to the Summit! Please RSVP by Monday, Mar. 15, to 448.1288 or summit@crcumc.org.
Windy Hill Food Pantry
School will be out soon for spring break, and this can be a difficult time for families that depend on their children receiving reduced cost or free lunch and breakfast at the school. To assist these families, we try to provide a little extra when we know the schools are out. Your generous donations from Thanksgiving and Christmas have been used and carried us into March. We are now critically low on a few items…cereal or oatmeal, canned meats, and bagged rice. Items can be dropped off in the blue bin with the Windy Hill Pantry sign located in the Worship Center entrance by The Resource Center.
Youth Silent Auction
Our Annual Youth Silent Auction is coming April 25, and the youth need your help! Do you have something to donate? Stop by the table in The Lobby Sunday for more information or to pick up a donation form. Do you own a business or have connections? Gift certificates, services, and any new items would be gladly accepted! Donation forms are also available at the Youth Office, the Resource Center, or online. The auction proceeds will help our youth attend life-changing camps and trips this summer. For more information, contact Liz McCafferty at 493.1269 or liz@crcumc.org or Sandy Sprague at sandy@crcumc.org. Thank you for your support!
Parents and youth—also stop by to sign up to work the auction.
