The LifeBuilders Mentorship Program is used to provide
students in the City Rescue Mission LifeBuilders program
a Christ-like model that will encourage successful
assimilation into healthy and productive living.
Why
Our Students Need Mentors
Students in our LifeBuilders Program spend 22 weeks
in our recovery institute before being assigned a
mentor. During their stay, our goal is to teach healthy
living, free from life controlling substances through
the power of Jesus Christ. Once a student reaches
training connected with the Life Skills I phase, the
focus switches to dealing with past hurts, relationships
and assimilation into society.
A
Christian role model will aid the student in facing
personal and social pressures that are not unusual
to most adults, but can be overwhelming for the students.
Early intervention and modeling through a structured
mentor relationship may give our students the tools
and support they need to deal effectively with these
pressures.
