In 1995, Gee Sprague and his wife Sandy were given the opportunity to launch a new, contemporary United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, FL. They wanted to start a church that would reach people who wouldn’t be comfortable in a traditional church setting. CrossRoad Church launched in April of 1996, with the vision of being a United Methodist congregation that used contemporary styles of worship to share the love of Jesus with people in a way that related to their everyday lives. We began meeting in a converted office space, affectionately known as The Warehouse, and moved to our current location on Gate Parkway in the spring of 2001.
Fast-forward to today, and we’re still reaching out to people in new and creative ways and seeing God transform people’s lives. It’s been an incredible journey, and we look forward to the adventures God has in store for us in the coming days. We would love for you to be part of the future of CrossRoad Church!
